FAQ

Who is Mobile Bridges? I did not sign up for services with Mobile Bridges.

Mobile Bridges has a powerful messaging platform that gives media companies the capability to deliver their products to mobile users and charge them a premium fee. Mobile Bridges works with TV Broadcasters, Internet Brands and other (online) promoters of mobile entertainment. Mobile Bridges has hundreds of short codes (e.g. 40200) under their management. Simply put, if you participate in a game show, voting, online quiz or if you have purchased a ringtone, wallpaper, chat, a subscription service or even used another mobile content service, you might be using the Mobile Bridges platform. Mobile Bridges facilitates promotional campaigns for third parties. If you decide to participate in a mobile service, these media companies (clients of Mobile Bridges) use Mobile Bridges to link its site with your wireless carrier. Linking to your wireless carrier ensures that your download is transmitted properly and that the charges are displayed on your wireless bill.

How do I contact Customer Support for questions about stopping receiving messages?

Make sure that you know who offered the service. Mobile Bridges receives a lot of complaints not related to Mobile Bridges. Our Customer Support can be reached via www.mobdesk.com. The team is multilingual. They direct you, if necessary, to local service desks. Please note that you might need to call a premium telephone number.

How do I stop receiving messages?

The easiest way to stop receiving messages is to send what is called a stop-text message. Send the keyword STOP as a reply to one of the unwanted messages that you have received. This should stop any unwanted premium messaging. If these keywords do not work for you, you will need to contact your carrier for further assistance.

How will the premium charges be displayed on the bill?

Mobile Bridges sends all records for content downloads to the wireless carrier. Each carrier determines how to display this information on the customer's bill. A carrier may list the name of the content provider, type of download, and the shortcode, or the carrier may use its own carrier specific internal biiling terms.

How do I prevent my child from using and downloading unwanted services?

All carriers have the ability to block services from a phone number upon request. You may ask your carrier that text messages be blocked from your child's handset at your convenience. Blocking services will prevent your child from purchasing content without your knowledge. Each carrier uses different methods in order to request a number to be blocked. Contact your wireless carrier to identify how to request a number be blocked. In the Netherlands visit www.smsdienstenfilter.nl to block your number.

My child has downloaded a service I did not authorize. What do I do?

Contact your carrier so that they can provide the telephone number of the content provider (such as Mobile Bridges) to contact and have them block your unwanted content. The party responsible for the account is obligated to pay the charges of the service. However, this can be discussed with the carrier who can lend assistance on the terms and conditions of the contract. Mobile Bridges has no capability to refund, check potential claims or provide credits for any charges associated with the download.
